2017 CMax Energi SE questions please
Hello everyone,
Im looking at a 2017 CMax Energi SE for sale here locally in san diego. It has 55k miles. It was originally a lease vehicle then a personal vehicle and looks like it traded in and then sold at auction. Now a local small dealer has it on his lot. I did some research on carcomplaints.com and found no problems on the 2017. I was just wondering if anyone would like to share their opinion on this vehicle before I fork out $14,000 dollars. Thankyou in advance.

Welcome to the site.
Many dealers are buying up used and auction vehicles to stay alive. More so months ago. I'm surprised it was wholesaled off being the mileage isn't excessive.
One of the things you can do is, take the VIN to your local Ford store and have the service dept run a no cost Oasis Report. It will give a history of work preformed while it was under warranty.
Also, if any concerns, having it checked out to see if any issues arise, may be added insurance if there's any question...

Yes Im aware what it is. But the dealers dont have to share with you if they dont want to, as it is an in house tool for themselves. Unless you have a good relationship with one particular dealer then sure, they will. I am not buying the car from a Ford Dealer, its a small local wholesaler.
It is in-house, but I haven't run into any pre purchase walk in that had cause or supporting documents form a seller be it private or dealer that was refused. If so, I'd go to another dealer.. Time allowing, most dealers will try and accommodate...
UPDATE:Well I went ahead and purchased the 2017 CMax Hybrid Energi SE and I have a few issues I thought I could throw out here to see if anyone has any solutions.
1- there is a faint humming type noise coming from the dashboard, I can hear it when car is on idling and then when I turn car off, it goes on for 5 minutes or so. Is that the computer running all the programs and such? Any ideas?
2- panoramic roof slide is broken, wont close, i imagine I have to remove the headliner to fix and its probably the motor? It does mover a tiny tiny bit when i hit the button but stops.
3- can you leave the car plugged in all night and not worry about over heating or charging? Does it have a shutdown feature?
Thanks folks...
