Default Swapping Ruby Red parts (door handles, mirror caps) for Chrome

Hello,
Brand new to this forum and also brand new to Super Duty land. Just brought home new (to me) 2017 F250 Lariat in Ruby Red two tone (lower is magnetic). I was really searching for one with chrome package (chrome wheels, door handles and mirror caps). But this one was too good to pass up and I thought I'd make the changes after purchase.

I have ruby red door handles and mirror caps that I'd like to swap with someone who has chrome and is looking to change. These are in absolute perfect condition. The truck I purchased has only 16k miles and looks like factory new.

This video (below link) shows how to remove the handles properly without breaking them.

Any takers?

Oh, I do have chrome bumpers (ironic that my bumpers are chrome but I want painted bumpers). So, if anyone wants chrome bumpers and is willing to let go of their painted ones, let me know.

Thanks,
Dennis

The door handles are easy to remove. The mirror caps are a bit more involved, but there are videos on Youtube that show the easy way to remove (but people sometimes break a tab or two that way) and then there is the right way that's a bit more work but you can safely remove the mirror cap without breaking any tabs.

If someone is interested in just swapping door handles - I'm willing to do that too and worry about the mirror caps later. (There are aftermarket mirror caps available, but the handles are hard to come by to get real factory replacements and not just tape-on overlays).

Thanks in advance to whoever is interested.

hey there, I’m sorry but I found someone to swap with not long after I posted. But I wish you good luck in finding someone to swap with. Buying aftermarket is likely just an overlay, and buying OEM is way too expensive. Good luck!

Mine has the chrome package. The chrome mirror caps are really annoying IMO (the flat chrome area that faces the door windows) They pick up reflected images front 'either side' of the truck from the drivers seat. Meaning, i can see the right road edge stripe in the left/drivers mirror cap. The right mirror cap, picks traffic, or anything passing the left side of the truck. Like trees, cars etc. It startles from the drivers seat. I ended up covering the inside corners of the chrome cap with vinyl...
