I have a '96 Ford Contour 120,000 miles & I am getting code P0171. I have changed the fuel filter but that didn't clear the code nor did it fix the issues my car is having. My car will randomly feel like it slips, this happens when I'm stopped (red light or stop sign then try to go again) almost like it's stuck in nuetral for a moment then it's fine. Also the car idles pretty rough. Also, when I come to a hard/quick stop sometimes the car will stall out but then it starts back up fine. I've also recently added high mileage transmission fluid & power steering fluid. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm hoping to get a part at the auto parts store & hopefully that will fix the problem or at least buy me some more time with it. I know the easiest solution would be to go to a garage but unfortunately many times they fix things that don't necessarily need to be fixed to keep the car running and costs too much. I'm in a tight financial situation right now.
