I have a 99 contour with with issues. about a year ago iwas driving home and about 2 miles away. the car started to loose power and started spiting and sputtering. i limped it home shut it off. restarted it same thing. tried to start again and nothing. just recently started to figure it out. was not getting spark. changed coil. still nothing. ive been checking relays and fuses nothing yet. does anyone have any suggestions here? a couple years ago had it in shop for no lights. i think they said it ended up being a relay or something to that effect. please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you.

 

One question that always comes to mind is; does the vehicle have any kind of anti-theft system. They often act up by either cutting off the fuel or the spark.
