Ok so I finaly Got my 98 Countor in the shop Replaced the gaskets that need to be replaced fixed the wiers that were Hanging Down & Replaced the o2 sensour. After all that was fixed & the computer was reset, I drove it for30 min &The check engine light came back on, the same code for the o2 sensor came back on. So I took it back and had it reset . drove around again for 30 Min & the engine light came back on.[sm=headbang.gif]I have a feeling it is for the same code. Can any one PLEASE help me explain it to my Michanic why this is happaning. I have tried to tell him that the countor has carbon build up & would make the o2 sensour go off & that he needed to clean theThrotel Body & the Ports He keeps telling me I'm wrong. But What do I know I'm a girl[sm=WTFsgign.gif]So any help would be great

Is this still the same neighborhood mechanic trying to staightenout the DTC/running complaints in your previous post? Are you still get the VCT codes as well as 02's codes as before? What are the exact codes being read....

 

Nope Different michanic Figuered I 'd take it to some one who might actualy fix my car than keep it for 3 months & not figuer out what it is till I start threatening him. & so far so good but the only code shoing up is for the o2's sensor & he just keeps resetting the computer on the car. I'll let you know what the coad is exsactly later when I turn my car in tomarrow.

 

ok so My Michanic Finaly Fixed it YA!!! it was the O2 triping the relay.

 

I am having the same problem with my 2000 ford contour. Can someone please explain the problem and possible solutions to me in as many details as possible so that I can relate the info to a mechanic and have my car fixed. Thanks
