Help! Car won't start. 2000 Contour, 2.0. Rattles when trying to start now. My son-in-law was driving it, and it died at a stop sign. Wouldn't start. He said it had been driving funny -- no power from a dead stop, then would run better when at speed. Last week, it would not start for about 20 minutes, then started and "check engine" light on, with no power as described. Now it wont start at all.
