Default Contour Power Window Problems

I have a 1997 Contour GL 2.0L 4cyl, and the drivers side window has been giving me problems lately. A couple months ago the window motor went out, and when I replaced it, the window worked properly. Now, my window is stuck down again. It should be getting power, because I opened up the door interior assembly, and when I push the up/down button, I hear a clicking noise in a rectangular shaped wiring housing that's secured to the inside of the door by two screws. It clicks when I push the down button, but when I push the up button, there's no response. I've heard that there could also be a possibility of a short in the window controls. Any advice or speculation would be helpful because I'm stuck. Hopefully that dang window motor I bought for over 100 bucks and took my father and I 3 hours to figure out didn't crap out on me. Thanks.

Alright, but hopefully It's not the regulator. That exact one is brand new from Pep Boys and was a complete bitch to install. Thanks!

When replacing either the driver side window regulator or motor replace the entire integral assembly or you will eventually. Saves money and frustration.
