The wiring harness on my Contour failed (I understand this is pretty common). Anyhow, I had a really hard time finding a new harness. Ford does not sale them anymore. Ford's customer relations department gave me a few resources. I was able to get one from Vintage Parts. www.vpartsinc.com It was a bit pricey at $375.00, but they had the part and shipped it immediately and the repair is cheaper than getting another car. I thought sharing a parts source for the harness may save someone else some hassle.

The harness they turned out to be for under the dash. Ford dealer accidentally gave me the wrong part number. If everyone with a wiring failure would file with NHTSA maybe Ford would be compelled to fix a shoddy, defective part.
