Default p1443 code
I have a 1996 ford Contour that has a P1443 code. Everything I find is not necessarily specific to my car. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with troubleshooting this? All I keep coming up with is related to the evap control system canister. Please help need to pass smog test soon!

The most common cause of an EVAP code is a loose gas cap, then a loose or broken evap line, followed by the valve, the sensor and the charcoal canister itself. If you are smelling fuel it may be a broken line.
