Default Rear Seat seatbelt?

I recently bought a 1998 Contour. The rear seat has two shoulder-lap belts, one on each side and a third belt for the middle seat. This middle seat belt coils up at the top of the seat on the rear deck. It has two buckles. The one at the end is smaller than the usual buckle and goes into a matinglatch on the seat. The other buckle is the typical type that buckles into a regular size latch forming both the lap and shoulder straps of the seat belt.

The belt was unbuckled and coiled up when we bought the car but my daughter buckled the end (smaller) buckle in the other day just experimenting. Now we can't figure out how to unbuckle it. There does not appear to be any unlatching mechanism. Does anyone know how to unbuckle it?

Default RE: Rear Seat seatbelt?

There should be a small access hole on the 'underside' of the floor mounted buckle... Insert a small probe ect. to release the tounge from the latch...
