'05 motor going into an '03
Just bought a 2003 Police Interceptor former southern fresh water flood car. This is first off a questionable adventure indeed. Current motor is seized do to having water in it. Two questions. First what do I need to look for in this car so far as electrics and how they may be affected and whether this thing will ever run again?(car was flooded up to window sills according to the township I bought it from at auction). Second what specific changes took place between the 2005 Interceptor Motor I am purchasing and the 2003 engine I am taking out? Bought the '05 because it only has 67,000 miles and is still in junk car. Thanks for any help.

Your going to have to access all important modules and inspect for corrosion and damage. Don't bother with a motor right now modules will cost a pretty penny. Had a guy bring me a flooded instant just like yours I looked at the fuse block and some modules on the car laughed and told him I'll get u a motor but it won't fix anything. I showed him what I found he almost cried.

Thanks for the replies. I do know the dash warning lights do come on when ignition is on. Power windows and locks work and parking/headlights work as well. I have not checked any other electrics so far. Junk car is very complete. I will get the complete wiring harness as well the main computer and any other main relays.
