Default 2009 P71 lighting, heating and AC problems

There are a few issues that cropped up at the same time. Probably not related but here is what is going on.

1. I have no back lighting on my heater control cluster or my cruise controls on the steering wheel.

2. My heat is stuck in the full heat position. Blend door problem comes to mind. I only get heat when the fan is on no matter the temperature position and it's a real pain in the **** in the summer especially when raining.

3. My air conditioning clutch does not engage. Fuses are good, all connections are made and I have a refrigerant charge in the lines. Don't know how much since I don't have a gauge.

Any help would be appreciated. Taking it to a shop would be a last resort. I have tried bypassing the coolant from going through the heater core to deal with my heating issue, but the run is so short and at a bad angle that the hose just ends up kinking so I chose to leave the problem for now.
