1976 E150 rear door has 3 latches
Hello Ford folks, I'm restoring an old high top converted cargo van and the original factory manuals do not cover the 3 latches on the passenger rear door. The door skin has a dimple where the inside lock would normally be located. It is nearly impossible to close and leaks exhaust. I've adjusted to doors so they hang correctly. This door has top, center and bottom latch. There are no rods or cables to the center latch, how on earth does this work? Is the center latch a catch and release only because it is only connected to the 3 Phillips screws in the jamb and nothing else. Any advice will be appreciated. I tried to attach a photo from my Mac but it says the file types is not accepted. All the latches are clean and appear workable as is the long rod. Wonder why Ford did not include information on this in their factory manuals?
