1984 E350 Super Club Wagon 351 V8
Hi all, new to this forum.
Collected my first classic van over the weekend. It was a gift from my dad who's worked on it since almost new. (This van was originally owned by Boeing in Seattle, and after five years sold on). All the mechanics are perfect as is it's structure. It's had new brakes f&r, suspension f&r and the engine rebuilt in early 2000's.
It has the 351 V8 under the hood. She drives beautifully and pulls like a freight train.
Cosmetically, it needs some work. The rust is only really surface with a little pitting on one side. There are no holes. The guttering is in good shape too. The roof has some surface rusting, nothing too bad. Just wondering the best approach to amending this?
I want to turn this x-tended cab into a camper (has anyone done this?), and it's also gonna be my daily ride. I intend on doing all the work myself. I'm not a complete newb
The only real issue I have with it right now is that I CAN'T see out of the passengers side mirror. It's way too small to be of any use. Anyone know of a better solution before I accidentally run someone and their car over??
I'm also gonna have some parts from the interior for sale at some point. Items like bench seats, head liner etc.
I have some photos now and maybe later I'll snap a few more of the 'nasty' bits.
Thanks for your time in advance
Patrick
