Hi everyone, I just bought my son a 1997 econoline conversion van with the Ford 4.2 liter Essex V6 engine. The van is a total cream puff with only 22K miles on it. I have read about the lower intake manifold gasket, and the timing cover gasket issues particular to the 97 model year. I live in Towson MD, and am looking for an expert Ford technician who would be knowledgeable in replacing those two gaskets. The engine runs well now, a d is not leaking, but I want to fix the problematic gaskets before they fail. Please, anyone who can point me to the right guy for the job would be greatly appreciated. Ford does not make the gaskets any more, but they are available through NAPA. Woody
