Default 2005 E-350 Super Duty - Rear Doors release latch from inside van

Requesting help unlatching van doors from inside the van. Cables to latching mechanism are not available to tug down on and release the latch from inside the door. I can unlock the doors, but don't know how to unlatch the rear passenger side swinging door from inside the van. Want to replace the cables but can't get the door open! Thanks!

If your van doesn't have sliding door on the side, then it's the same mechanism so you can see what it takes to open the door.

Look at the green arrow above, you need to push that lever/arm down by hand or use a 90 degree pick tool or hook tool, when it's down find a helper to kick the door open.
You should remove the speaker without removing the kilmat and do it from the speaker hole (same level), not the license garnish from outside (looking upward from bottom you can't even see the lever/arm the green arrow is pointing to)

When you replace the latch release cables consider doing an upgrade to metal like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/392035208100

Find below some PDFs once you get the door to open.

This was helpful thank you. I popped that white plastic piece out up top of the picture and could access the latch with a small flathead screw driver. Torqued it down and she popped right open. Now to the latch and cables. Need to jump on youtube for that. Thanks again!
