I have a 2011 E450 chassis for my RV, last trip placed the gear selector to "park", light for "P" didn't light up and I shut the engine off. The key won't release from the ignition. I've tried a few different things - wiggling the key, moving the vehicle and shutting back down, etc. Everything works fine, the vehicle still starts, the vehicle is in park even though the light doesn't illuminate, etc.

Any advice?

 

Not necessarily advice , but You may need to replace the tumbler assy and have a different key for the ignition.
