I would like to replace my leaking fuel tank that I have been patching up for years. I have not been unable to find a new replacement tank for my '70 E200 Clubwagon. The tank mounts behind the rear axle and they are still being made for '75 and later models. The measurements of '75 tanks are the same as my '70 and look so what the same. My concern is the fuel gauge sending unit and the fuel inlet hose size. Has anyone made this installation change or may have some suggestions...? This is the tank I'm looking at...

I have a 74 Chateau Van - same generation and i need a rear rank -- were you able to use a 75 tank successfully? I dont see a response from anyone, but curious how you resolved it....
