hi i have a 1992 e150 5.8 i live in england in the uk and have come to the end of the road with my problem with my van because no one can help over here it has covered 62000 miles only the problem about two years a go i was driving up a hill when the van lost power and cut out the engine turned over but would not start after about 15 mins it started and run good for about 10 mins then cut out again i got the van home and the next day the van from cold started and ran fine for about 30 mins then it hunted and cut out again after 15 min rest it started and run ok for 10 min and cut again so i fitted a new exhaust 02 sensor still the same then fitted a new thermal temp transmitter and this corrected the problem all ok for 1000 miles and 3 months then the problem came back at time of cutting out the plugs are sparking and the fuel pressor is good there are no live reading on this van only codes and just before the van cuts out the engine check lights starts to flash i fitted a new ignition module the one behind the battery and the problem went a way again van was all ok for about 1 year 6000 miles when old day it cut out on the inner state and had to be towed home it would not start at tall and was pumping net gas out of the exhaust i fitted a new fuel presser regualator and it started and run fine but now the old problem way back it runs fine from cold but after 30 mins cuts out the engine turns over but will not start untill about 15 mins rest then runs ok for 10 mins and cuts out again new parts i have fitted so far o2 sensor , thermal trans x 2 ,ignition module x 2 ,plugs ,leads,distributor complete with triger and cap and rotor , when van will not start there is spark at the plugs and fuel presser is ok on injector rail the van has the origanal thermal vac system in tacked i have checked the e g r system all ok and exhaust ok please please help there is no one who no,s about these vans over here in england i am a mechanic by trade could it be the ecu unit thanks alot

 

I remember there being a recall on the ignition module...but it seems like you've changed that out already,correct?Have you asked Ford for any recall or service bulletins for your van?
