Default 93 Conversion Van Seat Removal

I had some trouble getting the seats out of a conversion van I recently purchased so I searched the internet and found only a few hints how to remove this type seat. It seems that it's easy to find others with the same question but after people find out how they did it they don't post the solution! So here it is, I hope it helps someone else.

There is a ring and pin that moves up and down but the seat appears to not move in any direction. The bolt heads are covered by the chair base so that is not an option, even from the underside of the van. I suspected that the pulling up on the pin should allow the chair base to move slightly sideways so that 4 bolt heads can move from slots to holes, allowing them to be released. It wouldn't budge. So I sprayed the 'bolts' with WD40 and let it sit overnight. The next day I removed the chair itself from the base, easy enough to do, only four nuts easily removed with a 1/2 socket and rachet. Then I beat on it with a hammer from several directions. It did loosen and then all I had to do is rotate the base an inch or two counter-clockwise. The four 'bolts' were not bolts but pins that fit into keyhole slots. The base did not go left or right, but rotated.

Here's a picture of the part attached to the floor of the van and the seat base set off to the rear. Notice the rust and a bit of white grease. The WD40 helped but I think the hammer did most of the work. Next time I will use a block of wood and hit the right side of the base in a direction towards the rear of the van.
