Does anyone know if I need to pull the spout connector before I set the timing? I read somewhere, I had to but I can't find it

 

Yes the spout/shorting bar needs to be removed.. Here's a diagram for the engine compartment..C165/shorting bar.. LH rear of engine compartment..

Thanks Haya, you helped me out again. It really wants to start, but just won't catch fire, hope this will get her going. Is there an easy way to test for fuel pressure? I don't want to drop $50.00 on a tool I'll use once.
