E-350 1989 Cruise Problem

E-350 1989 Cruise Problem
Evening All,
I have a older Ford Motorhome based on an E-350.
The cruise control has recently quit working.
It was working occasionally up to this point.
My mechanic has traced the problem to a small spring-loaded pin that seats into the clock-spring. The spring/pin is burned out and cannot be salvaged.
I have bought a new clock-spring. It did not come with the spring.
The local Ford dealer has no idea what I'm talking about.
I made sure to get the correct clock spring: Automatic, 7.5L, 1989.
I can't submit a picture of the spring/pin as my mechanic put it back into the existing clock-spring on the van.
My mechanic has said the spring goes into the area circled in red on the picture.
The pins circled in green are not what I need.
Any advice here guys? I'd love my cruise back...
Does anyone know where to get the pin/spring my mechanic is talking about?

Welcome to the site Matt.
The image posted is of the Turn Signal Switch assembly.
The 2 contacts in the green circled image are horn contacts. It appears the switch assembly pictured was for a van without cruise. If on the old unit only the contact button was bad, and the switch base was ok, you/he might be able to fab a new button and spring into the old switch. Or source out a switch that carries the cruise contact...
