Finding power to wire a new accessory
Hi guys. I hope someone can clue me in to something for my '02 E-150 cargo. I need to supply a 30 amp line to a new accessory I've just installed. I located the fuze box but have no idea how to hook up to it. It's very important that the power be OFF when the engine is off, even if I'm just in accessory mode etc. The owner's manual says fuze # 8 is for ignition so it might be a good choice; as long as I don't overload the circuit. Manual also says # 42 & 44 are "not used". Anyway, where can I hook up to power? All I see on the fuze box is fuses, not plugs or spare terminals. Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

RE: Finding power to wire a new accessory
Your local auto parts should have a simple conector new the fuses that is really easy to use. you simply remove one of the fuses and install the removed fuse into the new connector, a-long with a second fuse for your accessory. The whole thing plugs right back into the original fuses location. Depending on the accessory, you may want to look into a relay.
