ford e250 4.2 used engine
Hi...I bought a used 4.2 engine from salvage ( sold as 2000 but looks to be at least 2001 by difference in ignition coil)....looks nice but noticed that the oil cooler lines come to front instead of side like original 1999 it is replacing ..hoses off new are 3/4"...advance auto shows 1/2" hose..
Any help...Can I bypass if not heavy towing??
Thanks,
Rick

Because the manufacturers change things from year to year and even mid-year, you are taking a chance with a different year engine which may look the same , yet have changes..
If at all possible we try to stay with the same year engine if replacement is required. Simple thong like crank sensor reluctor difference will be difficult to pin down, but engine never seemed to run right until old parts were installed. Just one example.
