Default Hello ; Help with trailer lights/brakes.

Hi
I have a 06 E350 Super Duty that I need to tow a trailer with. I have a class 4 reciever hitch coming. Should be here tomorrow. I got a brake controller at Napa and installed it yesterday.
I can't figure out where to plug in the harness( or which harness to buy for the 7round/flat that is on my trailer. I have a bunch of hauling that I have to do. Should have already got it all moved.
I'm in rural eastern central Alaska. So All we have here in town is NAPA .
Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED !
Thank you
Glen.

I've watched a few of them. Not being a mechanic or having a volt meter that I know how to use. I was hoping for something that just plugs in

The reciever hitch got here yesterday. I installed it this morning. I didn't have a torque wrench so I double wrenched the nuts with a 7/8 open/box end hooked on the 3/4" open/box. I was pushing the van so I think they are tight enuf. I also Red loc tited them .
Then I had to get a new reciever stub because the one I had was only rated for 6,000 lbs

I used a Molly Hogan as my stub pin keeper.
It will baffle 95% of thrives and is stronger/tougher and impossible to easily come undone.
Now I just need to do the trailer lights wireing.stuff

Default Got it working.

So I had bought the 7 blade round with 4 flat. Connector in Anchorage and a friend brought it out. They also did the work of hooking up the system for me.

So this is how it looks now. I have hauled 2 loads of lumber so far with it .

Mostly all 16' plus trim rough cut lumber. Running around 6,000 lbs per load. Plus the weight of the tandem axle trailer. I haven't had it on the scales yet but it's probably around 8,000 lbs.
Thank you all for the advice. It really helped. The brake controller that I got from NAPA works good and the Curt 7 blade does also. I did need to supply about 40 ' of 12 ga. wire as we had to go to the battery for power for the trailer brakes.

We've had a bunch of rain here and I seem to have a short or exposed wire in the right turn signal and brake lights blade of the trailer plug. When I touch the brake pedal, it activates the trailer brakes . Not push on the brake pedal. Just touch it. And when I turn on the right turn signal , it activates the trailer brakes momentarily. While the turn signal is lit. So, I need to take it apart and see what is going on and fix it.

I'm building my house. I logged and milled the logs this summer. And I need to get building very soon. I've been doing site prep. Winter is coming so I need to get framing floors and standing up walls.

Logging with a 4 wheeler is alot of work

I started a new job here so that takes up plenty of time.
