Just purchased 2006 E450 30,000 Miles. Did not come with Key Fobs, is it as simple as buying to new OEM Fobs and programming my self?
I have found the 2 Programming procedures and it seems that If I buy 2 fobs and program them they will work?
Did the Vehicle come with Key Fobs? Are they an option?

I will answer my own question, further online research found, Ford Dealer instructions - https://www.auffenbergfordnorth.com/...-ford-key-fob/, 2nd option https://www.keylessentryremotefob.co...-instructions/ Using these instructions I tried to program a non-existing Key Fob, the 2006 E450 responded with the audiable sound that confirmed it was ready to accept new Key Fobs. This proves that the vehicle was equipped with Remote entry. Now I will buy 2 fobs and program them.

 

You may be able to buy aftermarket FOBs at substantially less than FORD.

 

You can probably get them from Amazon. I have bought some from them.
