Default How do you clear airbag codes?

Hello,

I have a 1996 E150 Club Wagon with the 5.8L. How do I clear the airbag codes. My Airbag light is flashing a 12 code and I what to clear it to see if that code is on because I disconnected the battery the other day.

Thanks

This has been flashing for some time. We also lost cruise control. I thought at first it was the clock spring (I had one go bad in our Aerostar) I pulled the wheel and took apart the clock spring and inspected the ribbon inside I could not see any broken or week spots like the one in one Aerostar had. I also used a multimeter and and found continuity on all wires. Even after coiling and uncoiling the clock spring. I would like to clear the airbag code to see if it comes back. I don't want to replace the clock spring if that is not the problem. The only place I can get the right clock spring is from Ford and they want $260.00. Dorman sells a replacement but it is only for E150s with out speed control and I am more concerned with the speed control than the Airbag.
