Hi, I think I would like to sell my cargo van. I have had it for 30 years. It has 193,000 miles on it. All original miles, engine's never been opened. It has the 4.9 engine with an automatic trans. It's really clean looking. The inside looks decent. Has power windows. Here is the problem with it, though. The side cargo doors don't open. Used to be none of the cargo doors opened. I repaired the door cables and got them all working again. But the cable on the side cargo doors came off, and honestly I do not have the fortitude to try and fix it again. i had my hip replaced. I can't twist myself into a pretzel. So it's going to be sold with the side cargo door not opening. Also, I have removed the guts in the cargo doors that operated the door locks. So yeah, cargo doors don't lock. Check engine light has been on since the 90s. I took it to a mechanic way back when, and he did extensive troubleshooting and said he thinks it's just a malfunctioning check engine light. It's always passed emissions (how? the check engine light only comes only periodically. So I've gotten lucky with my emissions tests and it didn't come on. But now my state of Idaho no longer requires emissions tests so that's no longer an issue). Aside from that, everything works good. The AC is cold. Shifts good. No leaks. Good tires. I have lots of maintenance records. Had the alternator and battery replaced this summer. I just want to get rid of it!! I can't afford anymore break downs like what happened this summer with the battery/alternator. It's just a matter of time before something else breaks given its age. I'm thinking $1000 just to be rid of it? Is that too high? I might go $700.
