Default Which model is my E-Series?

I have an 86 ford econoline automatic. Just wondering how to tell if it's a 150, 250, or 350.

Also, there seems to be a transmission fluid leak. I've heard great things about Justice Brothers transmission stop-leak.

I'm thinking of installing a new fuel filter; the van has almost 100k miles on it and it's certainly been long enough since it has been changed. I'd appreciate any links or information about how I'd install a new one.

Lastly, I'll need to change my oil. Any tips on oil changes for this model would also be greatly appreciated.

What's the VIN number? Fuel filter will either be an IN-LINE or a canister filter. You may even have both. Both would be located along the inner frame rail under the driver's side. The cannister filter will ber located inside of a black housing (sometimes behind a steel plate). Just follow the fuel lines from the tank and go forward. As far as oil goes, just use a good quality 10W-30 motor oil and filter. Don't forget the air filter. How are the plugs and wires? Ignition coils are pretty cheap also. Due to age, a good set of plugs, wires and coil always makes for a smooth runner.

Hey, thanks common sense for the reply. The VIN is 1FDEE14N9GHB02617. The E1 is an indicator of an E150, correct?

I followed my fuel lines and found what looks to be a canister just where you said it would be. If I had both like you suggested, where would my IN-LINE filter be and what would it look like?

Good idea to order a new fuel filter/air filter from a shop like KNECHT'S?

Thanks for your help.

If you have an In-Line filter, crawl under the driver's side and it should be on the driver's side frame rail right under the drivers seat. It will be a metal filter about the size of a soda can with single Inlet/Outlet lines connected to it.
