Default Odometer

The odometer of my FORD Econoline extended wagon 2009 is running a lot more that I drive. Since That I bought it, I drove no more than 1500 miles. It shows more than 4.000 miles. The numbers jump. Every time, before I turn the engine off, I put the odometer in "ZERO".
On the next time I turn it "ON", it shows "0.5", "0.7", "0,3", "0.9", or other. Each time, is a different number, no meter I did not move it.
It has to be fixed. I've been at the Ford Dealer twice. They sayed "This is impossible". But the problem is there. I can not know exactelly the distance between two points, the miles I drove in a day, I can not know when it's necessary to change oil, etc, etc...
I tried two more mechanics. They do not believe me. The answer is the same: It's not possible.
Please, can someone help me?
Thank You.
