Default Radiator problems

I have a 97' Ford E150 and the radiator continues to leak in the same place after replacing it 3 different times.Thiswill be my 4th radiator. The problem occurs about 8 ot 9 months after I replace the radiator. During this time I have no problems with it. I have not checked the thermostat, but had to get a new resevoir cap because the loss of pressure. It seems to leak at the same place each time, on the drivers side. I use the van for deliveries in town, and sometimes leave the engine running for not more than 2min per stop.Any insight on the matter would be super helpfull, as I don't want to keep replacing it.

Default RE: Radiator problems

I would check the thermostat. The gauge may not show the real temperature and you may be getting an airlock. I would imagine these radiators are showing a weak spot and may not be at fault. Go for the works and replace the hoses as well. I am assuming your water pump is okay. If the pump is leaking, the coolant may just be running to the noted spot.
