starts then stops???

Our 1995 E350 starts normaly then runs for a few seconds then stalls. If I "gas it" it revs then backfires out the intake, then stalls. The truck was running good until last Sunday. The only work that we had done latly was we had the starter and selinode replace about 2 weeks ago. What's wrong with our Ford?
