Default Steering slop

Hello to everyone. I am a new member, and would appreciate any help, since I don't know too much about vehicles. I have some loose steering, and heard I can tighten up my steering gear box. I know my folks had a 73 E-150 back in the 70's, and would go thru this, but I am not sure where it's located under the van.
I also have a vibration in the steering wheel at highway speed....any ideas?

It is premature at this point to assume the gearbox is in need of adjusting. Since you state you have limited knowledge on vehicles, I will suggest you have a qualified technician perform a front end inspection. There are many other more likely sources for the play in your steering wheel.
