Default 2011 Edge rear wiper not working

The rear wiper came on while we were out of town and I’ve learned this is a known issue after researching it a little on the internet. With that said, I’ve replaced the motor and the switch on the steering column and it still doesn’t work. I also checked the fuse and it is good. Any thoughts as to why it’s not working?

Thanks for any help!

Just so were clear you said it came on and you replaced some parts and now it doesn't work at all?
Have you checked for power/ground at the motor plug?
Are you sure you installed the correct parts for this vehicle.

We

We were out of town and it came on all by itself. My oldest daughter couldn’t figure out how to disconnect the power so she left it alone and eventually it burnt something up. My assumption was the motor, so I replaced it and yes I am fairly certain it is the correct motor and switch. After replacing the motor, it still didn’t work, so I replaced the switch on the steering column and it still doesn’t work. I can get the washer fluid to work, and the front wipers, just nothing from the rear wiper. I think I’m attaching pics of what I installed.

We were out of town and my daughter called and said the rear wiper was on when she got home. She didn’t turn it on, it turned on all by itself. She couldn’t figure out how to stop it so she just left it alone. It stopped before we got home and I assumed the motor burnt up so I replaced it. That didn’t fix it, so I replaced the switch on the steering column and that didn’t fix it either. I checked the fuse and appears to be good….I’m not familiar enough with this stuff to know what else it might be.

This is the switch

This is the motor
