I posted earlier about my 2011 Edge check engine light coming on at times and then the tranny light coming on. When either light would come(both never came on at the same time) it had no power. Would have to shut it off a few times and the light would be out and it was fine. This would happen here and there with the lights not coming on and then coming on. Anyway took it to Autozone today and they hooked it up to the computer even though I had no light on and the code was P2111 which said the throttle actuator control system is stuck open or shorted. I will be taking it in to Ford in a few days since it should still be under warranty(26,000 miles). Until then I have a few questions. Is it safe to drive or could it go out completely and stop working? Why would the tranny light come on if it is the problem or could the tranny light be something else?
