2016 Edge overhead console dead/no power to it
Need help as my local dealership wants $1400 just to take apart my dash to find out why my overhead console has stopped working.
The console is not getting power, none of the buttons light up, the interior lights on it are dead, and the sunroof does not work either.
Dealership says no fuse issues or problem with console itself and says problem has to be in the dash somewhere, and labor to take it apart to continue troubleshooting is going to cost $1400.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Vista Roof??
Looking at the schematics, the OHC illumination (single dedicated) then the Overhead Console Module all share a ground under the drivers seat. The OHC illumination and Roof Opening Panel Module has a connector either at the top or bottom of the drivers side A pillar. Location depends on if a Vista roof or not. If they checked for power distribution at the OHC itself and it was missing there, then the connector next down line might be checked to see if distribution is there. Then one at the center console location.
If fuses etc, you'd have more illumination drop outs not just the OHC. So possibly a ground issue, or connector etc. The Body Control Module is in charge of the illuminations, but, it's in control of many other hardware illuminations on the same circuit. All of them "share" a spliced circuit, ONE of them feeding the OHC panel through a few connectors along the way. I'd focus there, and the ground. Could be a problem with the BCM for illumination and the roof ops, but what doesn't make sense is that only the OHC lighting dropped out, not any others. So would seem an interrupt some where...

Hi yes mine does have the vista/panoramic sunroof, I checked the paperwork they gave me on what they all looked at and this is what they did.
”confirmed all functions of OHC inoperable, scanned for codes, no codes found. Removed OHC and checked OHC ground circuit all ok. Checked fuses, all ok, swapped OHC with known functioning OHC, all buttons and lights still inoperable. Likely wiring concern which will require further diagnostic.”
