2018 Edge Sport Trim Towing Capacity
Hi there!
I own a 2018 Edge Sport, and would like to know why is the towing capacity lower (2,000 pounds) for this trim then for the others (3,500 pounds). I assumed that if the 2,0L Ecoboost was able to tow 3,500 pounds, the 2,7L would be able to as well...
Thank you for clarifying!

Thank you for your thoughts Hayapower. But I must say that I still can't understand why the 2018 2.7L could only tow 2,000 pounds, while the 2019 2.7L can tow 3,500 pounds (same engine?).
The original question was 2.0 and 2.7 ecos,, but not equals unless tow optioned..
But in reality, the 2018 2.0 has a max towing of 3500 ‘if’ it’s equipped with a tow package. Without it, your restricted to 1500lbs.
The 2.7 for 2018 was limited 2000lbs. for the reasons prior, and no tow package.
2019 2.7 was optioned with a trailer tow package..
