Default buying a 2008 edge

should I stay away from buying a 2008 ford edge. Dealer offering a great deal, has low miles, and a great price. But with tranny problems having read about..I am greatly concerned. Has ford ever fixed these problems? or should I just stay away from this vehicle

Default OK to do.

I purchased a 2008 Edge Limited about two months ago and am delighted with all aspects of the car. It is fully loaded, everything works well and the ride is great.
