Edge 2011 Sync
Have had our car two weeks. Today the sync system is dead - no audio - no screen. Contacted Ford and was told that there is a Tech Svc Bulletin 10-24-9 due to all the problems on 2011 Sync on Lincoln and Ford. Have to take the vehicle back to the dealer. Bulletin has been out for quite a while and all dealers should have done the upgrade according to Ford... Well - guess my dealer didn't get the message which means I'll be tied up Christmas week sitting in the Ford waiting room - not happy!!!!!
Update: Have been to two different dealers - problem with the In Touch system is a module. Has to be ordered. "Don't know when it will be in." Expedited request but one dealer said he has had four of the same problem this week - 2011 Edge and Lincoln with Sync. Car has 800 mi on it - I'm thinking the word Lemon applies here
Had the Sync module replaced on 12/27. thought everything was okay til this week when I notice that the clock is not keeping time..... I have reset it twice and it will either stop completely or just lose time....
We too had had problems with the clock and the five day forecast screen after the module was updated/replaced related to the recall. Our clock would go backwards and the five day forecast was two days behind. I checked the forums for some advice and found someone else having a clock that did stay accurate. They were advised to syncronize the clock with the GPS from another Ford Edge owner so I figured I would try that. It worked for both of these problems. Fixed!
