mobile apps. where are they????

I just got a new escape. nice care. but, I notice there's no add on mobile apps for this. there's pandora and sometimes iheart radio but nothing else. I would love to get a weather app but no can do. can anyone point me in the direction to get some? or tell me how to do this? I have a android phone

been there done that. that's why came here. it's not working as instructed. as far as I know my sync up to date. on 2018 escape what should I be able to download?

CarPlay is an Apple product/system,, and within its IOS restrictions apply and your only going to see native apps.. With an Apple phone and a jailbreak done, 3rd party apps would be accessible and on screen. Android, my guess would held to the same native or approved Apple apps.. As far as I know the latest IOS updates aren’t broken or unlocked.

Interesting thanks for the reply. When I bought this vehicle I assumed you could get more mobile apps. They should replace the brochure showing the apps that supposedly could be uploaded to the app
