Poor AM Reception on Radio
Have a 2008 Ford Edge. Noticed yesterday that the AM section is receiving VERY poorly..FM & Sattellite are OK.
Anyone else have that problem? How was it resolved?
Does the radio have to be replaced COMPLETLY or can I remove it and maybe get it fixed, or if a schematic is available, I have 35 years experience in the 2 way radio business..I would be willing to take a crack at it...If not repairable...guess I head for a wreaker's yard or put an aftermarket unit it

2008 Edge - Poor AM radio reception
We love our 2008 Edge - but the AM radio reception is so poor, there might as well be no AM radio at all. And FM recepiton is only fair compared to our other cars.
Does it need a better antenna, or does anyone know the reason or solution? It did come with a very short little antenna.
