Default 13 Ford escape won't start

So I have the 2013 Ford escape 2.0 l and it started with the battery I thought it was the battery at least and had to get a jump if I left the doors open too long or something and then all of a sudden it became I had to jump it almost every time I turned it off then it started getting a little sluggish like it didn't want to go but then I guess I didn't realize that my ECM which is located above the tire on the driver side didn't have a cover over it because I got the car from an auction and it rubbed a hole some rubbed a hole in it and when it rained really hard water got in there because when I took it to the shop and got a new battery replacement it drove okay for that whole day and then it wouldn't start system failure so I took it back to the shop I had it towed there they said there was a hole in ECM and the water got in there and it need to be replaced so I got one off of eBay put it in and a friend of mine who has a little car shop programmed it for me and now I still want to start start it says starting system failure help me please figure this out

What is the anti theft lamp doing when it will not start ?

If you have a spare key that you know works, meaning you were able to start the vehicle with it, and see if the vehicle starts with that other key.
