Recently acquired and know very little about car’s history. Anyway, I noticed a strange wet/water spot center of driver side floor. Top of floor mat is dry but carpet underneat is soaked. It’s been raining on and off but not really sure if this is fromthe rain. I cleaned and made sure both front drains of sunroof are clear and that it drains outside so I know it’s not coming from sunroof. I also checked roof rails and no signs of wetness or corrosion there.

Where is water coming from? Can it be caused by ac drain not properly draining to the outside? Passenger side is dry.

I already searched the net for this. I see some other posts about people having same issues but nothing clear as to how the problem was resolved.
