So when it rains heavily, I find that there's at least an inch of standing water in the front passenger side floorboard... I'm noticing that when it rains and snows, my roof isleaking and drops of water fall from where the sunglasses holder is and also when I pull the driver's visor down, the fabric is damp. It also looks like water is getting in by through the passenger door where the speaker is located... idk what to do and from what I've found out, this is common amongst 2006 ford 500's but the dealership doesn't know how to fix the problem when others complain about the same problem. Help??

 

Does your vehicle have a moon/sun roof?
Can you see any cracks or openings where the windshield meets the roof?

 

If your vehicle has a sun roof, chances are the drains for the assy are clogged with debris. The dealership certainly knows how to correct this problem, but it is time consuming and they will charge for doing the work. Could this be where you are at this point?

 

Yes I have a sun roof.. there aren't any leaks. The drains are clogged apparently but that's not where the almost inch of standing water is coming from. Some other draining tubes might be clogged as well and getting to those tubes is a hassle apparently... hopefully clearing the drain tubes works.

 

I have a well maintained 2006 with 128K miles. I traveled out of the country for 10 days only to return and find my the car inundated in water. The floor on the passenger side had a large and thick layer of ice. Can someone please advice the source of this flood and how to fix it?
