the transmission in my 2004 escape xlt 4x4 is blown. im looking to have it replaced. i was hoping if someone could tell me if any of the other years of escapes transmission would fit into my 04? for example, could i put a 2005 4x4 tranny into my 2004. your help would be greatly appreciated!

 

in most cases when it comes to replacing parts it's always better to go new instead of used. that being said, if everything is the same between the two transmissions then one can have them changed out and get away with it. but be warned sometimes the pins on the electronics were located differently and won't work properly or in some cases not at all
