I have an 05 Escape XLT 3.0. My wife drove it one night to church and it ran fine. After church the car would start but then die. Tried to start it a few times with the same results. After waiting a while it cranked right up and drove home fine but engine light was on. I drove it the next day and it did fine until letting it set a while then it would die as soon as I started it. Later on that day it ran fine. Pulled a code po511. You can get the can to run when it does this but you have to give it a little gas. As long as your driving it does fine. Just a problem with idle. Any help would be great. Someone said it could be the idle control valve. Is that right?
