2005 Escape turn signal stays on

I have a 2005 escape limited v6 that the right turn signal stays on all the time even when the key is off. I've checked all the fuses and they are good. The left turn signal works fine. I can't figure out what the problem is.

You might try removing the fuses one at a time to see if any fuse other than signal lite circuit is feeding it or using it for a ground. Sometimes something from out in left field can be involved like wires rubbed through from rear wiper motor. Whatever is feeding it /using it does not require the key to be on.

I'll try that and see if that works, I've also been told it might be the Smart Junction Box. How do I test that?

Usually you check and rule out all other possible causes before replacing the SJB. There is not too much testing you can do if you suspect that to be the source of the problem. Replacement is usually the only option. Have you considered getting a second opinion from another shop that can check and verify the actual cause before going the replacement route?

I thought the switch might be bad and unpluged that and the lights still stayed on, so that wasn't it.I'm going to try removing the fuses tomorrow and see if that works.

It was the smart junction box
