Hey guys, curious if anyone might offer thoughts on my findings please. Purchased this used 2.3 with the understanding it has 84,000 miles and a little troubled during the disassembly to replace required seals/gaskets. Upon removing the spark plugs, #1 was very tight (55nm on the torque wrench with the others at 35/30 nm) and had a little milky/foamy residue in the coil and internal part of the valve cover (1st pic). Upon removing the intake, I'm seeing what might be orange RTV (2nd pic). Is that po-man's repair for a leaking freeze plug or some other pleasantry? Finally, the exhaust port surface has an opening, leading to the smaller chamber, is that cut out normal? Sorry about the pic sizes, I used to know how to format but it's been a while. Thanks for any insight! White milky residue, #1 plug RTV sealant closeup, under intake? RTV out zoom under intake Normal exhaust ports?
