2010 Escale steering assist issues
No codes or lights on dash. The steering assist goes out intermittently, usually while driving. I have noticed that this only happens after the engine is at running temperature. I have changed the steering sensor in the steering column. This did nothing to alleviate the problem. Is my next option to change out the steering assist motor? I don't feel like this is an issue because it works well up until the engine gets warmed up. Does this possibly sound like a wiring issue?
There is a recall regarding the loss of electric power steering assist on your vehicle.
The better thing to do is have a dealership verify and repair if necessary. You can check if any cost is involved before work is started.
