Hello, My daughter called me this morning and both front brakes are locked up on her Escape. Just a little background, It will shutter every once in a while like the transmission can't find the right gear. Now that the brakes have locked up, I wonder if it has a bad ABS sensor or something and what feels like a shutter is actually the brakes acting up. Unfortunately, I am 150 miles away and can't get to her to fix it. I plan on having it towed to a shop but, I am trying to figure this out before they cost me a fortune. any ideas?

 

Diagnosing over the net can be tough to say the least.
There are some questions that should be answered first.
How many miles are on the vehicle?
When were the brakes checked /worked on last?
Is it 4 wheel drive?
How was it determined both front wheels would not move?
Is there anything that could be preventing the brake pedal from coming all the way up?
Any other info you could provide ?
